A Turkey Day Drink!

So this Turkey day the hubs and I are having our own celebration! I have an entire meal planned out from salad (I candied my own orange rind and toasted walnuts!) to lemon meringue pie. BUT while the chef gets their thanks after all is said and done, they need a little somethin' somethin' to keep them going through the prep. This year I have discovered hot sinful deliciousness:

Hot Buttered Rum (for one)

1T Brown sugar (more or less to taste)
1/2-3/4T Butter- room temperature if you can
1 Shot dark rum (spiced or not)
Nutmeg to taste
A few cloves
Hot Water

While boiling your water, combine butter and brown sugar in the bottom of your mug and stir it together. Add your nutmeg and rum and combine again.

Plop in a few cloves and enjoy! (But please do not drink the cloves)

This is creamy warm butterscotch-ey greatness. And it will keep the cook happy. Cause let's face it - when the cook is happy, everyone is happy :)

Have a wonderful Turkey Day!
